International Crew Training (ICT) is pleased to announce that effective September 1, 2012, a new company founded by Mike French, is offering MCA, RYA and STCW training.

“I wanted to bring yacht crew training up to date and consistent with the needs of professional yacht crew members in today's yachting industry!" Said French.

International Crew Training (ICT) remains resolutely focused on its core strength of MCA and STCW yacht training. During the next few years ICT will endeavour to reduce prices in real terms, and strive to improve pass rates and customer satisfaction in a very competitive market place . “We know that great demands are placed on yacht crew in their professional lives, so we understand they expect the same of us,” says Jim Cartlidge, Chief Instructor at International Crew Training (ICT).

In addition to our intention to become an industry-leading MCA training facility, International Crew Training (ICT) is a Royal Yachting Association (RYA) certified training centre, offering the full range of RYA courses demanded by yacht crew globally. " Commencing RYA training came as a result of listening to the market,” French stated. “With over 2000 training centres around the world, educational materials and products second to none, and world-wide acceptance, the RYA is recognised as the global leader in professional entry-level training curricula and certification. We have the exciting opportunity to combine our MCA yacht training with the strength of the RYA commercial curriculum.”

The new International Crew Training (ICT) website is a resource for all professional yacht crew not just a virtual shop front. Of the new website, French added, “We bring about 1500 students to Fort Lauderdale every year, so we wanted to be sure to provide them with information about the facilities geared towards yacht crew that makes Fort Lauderdale the world's leading yachting hub.
